Sprucin' Up the Rooster
Memorial Restorations' experience in returning statues and structures to their most beautiful state includes a variety of projects - including Cambridge's famous Swiss Chalet Rooster.
When we found him, the rooster had been living behind a dumpster for quite awhile after being moved from his original home on Hespeler Road.
To get the rooster settled into his new place, we dug and poured a concrete foundation, and moved him onto it. The restaurant owner wanted the statue repainted to resemble a Portuguese rooster, so we did some research and came up with a plan.
After applying a coat of block filler, which also functions as a primer, we used superior quality outdoor paints to bring the rooster back to life.
